Privacy Policy
We are committed to ensuring the privacy of our web visitors. We do not collect personally identifiable information about users of this website unless you voluntarily provide us with that information. We may request personally identifiable information from you if, for example, you ask a question, request to be contacted, request information for a particular program or activity, or sign up for a mailing list.
Our site may contain links to other sites that are not managed or maintained by Prevail Fund, Inc. The inclusion of a link to another site from Prevail Fund does not imply any endorsement of that site’s privacy policies, practices, or content. Your dealings with these sites are covered only by the privacy policies listed on those sites.
Job candidates
When you register with our applicant tracking system (ATS) in connection with a job opportunity, the information we collect may include:
- Name, email address, social media accounts, cover letter (if applicable), resume and job experience, education, email, and text communications sent via our ATS, and other information that you choose to send to us or to give us administrative access to.
- Metadata related to your use of the ATS, such as when you log in to the ATS and how you use it.
Site usage information
Information collected through automatic data collection technologies
1) As is the case with many websites, our servers automatically collect your IP address when you visit our website, and we may associate that with your domain name or that of your Internet access provider. We may also capture certain “clickstream data” pertaining to your website usage. Clickstream data includes, for example: information about your computer or device; your web browser and operating system and their settings; the referring page that linked you to the website; the pages or content you see or click on during your visit and when and for how long you do so; the items you download; and any search terms you have entered on the Prevail Fund website or a referral site.
Among other things, this information enables us to generate analytics reports on the usage of our website. We use Google Analytics to do this. To opt out of your Prevail Fund website usage being included in our Google Analytics reports, you may follow the instructions at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google Analytics’ cookies expire 24 months after being set.
2) The Prevail Fund website also uses technologies such as “cookies” and “pixel tags” to improve the functioning of the site and your experience and to learn how visitors are using our website. Cookies are small data files that are automatically sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies enable us to remember and personalize your experience. Pixel tags are tiny graphic images that are embedded in webpages. Pixel tags are used to determine what parts of a website a visitor has viewed. These technologies are used to gather information to analyze traffic to the Prevail Fund website, and to improve our content and navigation. Some of these technologies are deployed on our website by third parties with which we have agreements.
You may also set your browser to refuse the cookies our site attempts to send you. Should you decide not to accept cookies from Prevail Fund, you may limit the functionality we can provide when you visit our site.
Information for EU residents
EU residents have several rights under data-protection law in relation to how we use your personal information. You have the right, free of charge, to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format
- Rectify any inaccurate personal information we hold about you
- Withdraw your consent where we have relied upon your consent to process your information
- Erase the personal information we hold about you subject to certain exceptions
- If technically feasible, have your personal information transmitted to another data controller in a machine-readable format at your request
- Restrict processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
- Object to our use of your personal information for our legitimate interests, for profiling and for direct marketing purposes
- Not be subject to a decision which is based solely on automated processing where that decision produces a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you. We do not make automated decisions of this nature
- Lodge a complaint with the appropriate data-protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal data

We will take measures to verify your identity which we will do by reference to copies of acceptable identification documentation supplied by you.
We will endeavor to respond to your request within a month. If we are unable to deal with your request within a month, we may extend this period by a further two months and we will contact you and explain why.
How do we store your data?
Prevail Fund only collects and stores your personal information when you submit a job application. We store this data in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platform, Ashby. Ashby has implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Prevail Fund will keep your data for at least one year, for the sole purpose of future hiring for Prevail and Prevail partner roles. You may request us to delete your data at any time, by contacting us at talent@prevailfund.org.
